Restore and conserve natural resources through sustainable forest management, livelihood improvement, and institutional strengthening.
MegLIFE is a 10-year initiative by the Government of Meghalaya, implemented by Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) and funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It focuses on restoring natural resources, promoting sustainable forest management, and improving rural livelihoods across 500 villages in 12 districts, while strengthening community institutions for long-term resilience.
